Older homes need a plumber who reads the whole system
Open the basement door of a 1920s colonial in Winchester or a triple-decker closer to the city and you will find several generations of plumbing side by side: original galvanized steel, mid-century copper, cast-iron drains, and PEX from the last remodel. Each fails in its own way. Galvanized rusts shut from the inside and drops your pressure. Cast iron cracks along the bottom where it has sat wet for decades.
Our work starts at the meter and moves forward: static pressure, the main shutoff, where galvanized ends and copper begins, how the drains vent.
